Cliff Stout Jr., began his martial arts career while attending Oklahoma State University OKC campus as an adult in 2001. The University offered Taekwondo classes between evening classes. After the semester was over, he began attending Taekwondo training in Edmond, Ok then Yukon, OK. During this time, he earned a yellow belt under Mr. Watley. His training was cut short due to family responsibilities.
In 2002 Mr. Stout began his law enforcement career as a Deputy in Canadian County Oklahoma. His law enforcement training includes defensive tactics, lethal and non-lethal techniques along with de-escalation techniques.
In 2015 he began training under Dr. Randall Shubert, 5th Dan, Senior Examiner for USJJF and , William S. Cook, 2nd Dan, Hall of Fame Inductee - National Taiho Jutsu Sensei, in ARMA Defense Jujitsu. ARMA training is based on Kodokan Goshin-Jujitsu and Taiho-Jutsu which focuses on self defense and law enforcement applications.
In February 2020 Mr. Stout earned his 2nd Kyu Brown Belt. He continued training with ARMA Defense and the Sheriff’s department. In August 2024, Dr. Shubert and Mr. Cook promoted Mr. Stout to Shodan in Kodokan Goshin-Jujitsu and Taiho-Jutsu (USJJF).
