Dr Dean William Adams has been practicing martial arts for over 50 years and holds black belts; Kenpo karate 3rd degree, Japanese Jiu-Jitsu 3rd degree and a Black Belt in Judo 1st degree black belt. He has a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu; and he also a certified Green level Boxing Coach, Bronze level certified Wrestling coach and also a Purple belt under Duke Roufus kickboxing system.
Dean W. Adams was born in October 21st 1952 in Greensburg Pennsylvania. He became interested in Wrestling during his high school years. He was on varsity wrestling team throughout those three years; and was undefeated in his sophomore year. After graduating high school In 1971 He joined the Air Force.
1971-1991 Air Force Military Career
He was stationed at Little Rock Air Force Base after basic training and technical school. While at the Little Rock Air Force Base he had the opportunity to begin training in Judo and trained with the Air Force Club until being Assigned To Elemendorf Air Force Base Anchorage Alaska. He continued his training in Judo and Freestyle wrestling. He competed competitively in both Judo and Wrestling.
Dr Dean Adams continued to serve in the United States Air Force for over 20 years. Within the 20 years of service His passion for martial arts continued and he continue to practice martial arts in his Military career. He studied multiple disciplines just to get better understanding in Martial Arts- Judo, International kenpo karate and Chinese Kenpo Karate, Kajakenbo and Praying manners Kung Fu and Combat Hapkido, and practiced boxing within his 20 years of his military Career.
After an Honorable discharge from the Air Force in 1991; he retired from the Air Force. He translated and pursued His Doctrine and became a pastor, driven by strong leadership and passion for making a positive impact. As Head pastor of Church of Open Arms his passion for Martial arts continued, He established The Lion’s Den Martial Arts Fitness Center and boxing gym School Charter Lifetime from North America Ju-Jitsu Federation 2015 the mission of the charter was to mentor and empower local disadvantage youth and promote physical fitness, discipline in a positive lifestyle. Doctor Dean also developed and implemented an anti-bullying program within the community advocating for inclusive in creating a safe environment for Youth. In 2017 he received a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Ju-Jitsu & Kenpo Karate from Grand Master Ernest G. McPeek later on 2019 He received his Shodan in Judo from Grand Master Ernest G. McPeek and the Board of Elders Jim Tracy, Will Tracy, Mark Tracy and Joe Jutowski.
In October 2023 He received his Purple Belt Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu by Grant Roberts and Matthew Smith and later on in 2025 he received his brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from Grant Roberts.
Today in the Spirit and in the legacy of Grandmaster Ernest G. McPeek his last request was to Dr. Dean was to establish and uphold and carry on the ancient, honorable, unbroken lineage of the true and original founders of Jiu-Jitsu. The Lions Den Flow Grappling Jiu-Jitsu Club was established in 2024 On Little Rock Air Force Base by Dr. Dean Adams to provide an outreach program for the Military and family member teaching them discipline, self-confidence, and respect for themselves and others. Lions Den Judoka Flow Grappling Jiu-Jitsu Club uphold and carry on the ancient, honorable, unbroken lineage of the true and original founders of Jiu-Jitsu. Following the authentic path of Jiu-Jitsu we will use our knowledge and skills only for purposes of true and pure self defense, never for purposes of aggression.
