Zackary Colker began his life-long experience in martial arts beginning at the age of only three years old, training traditional judo under the tutelage of Olympic Silver Medalist Sauveur Soriano (7th Dan). Over the many years to come, Zack refined his judo under several notable names in the world of classic judo, including Chris Angle (6th Dan), Hector Negron (5th Dan), and Stephen Moliterno (4th Dan). In his younger years, he achieved considerable competitive success including Gold Medal victories at the New York State Junior Olympics, Princeton Invitational Judo Championships, and Nakabayshi Judo Championships.
Zack is also an IBJJF Certified Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Daniel Gracie (6th Degree) and is 5th generation in the celebrated Gracie lineage (Zack’s Instructor lineage: Carlos Gracie Sr. → Helio Gracie → Carlos Gracie Jr. → Daniel Gracie → Zackary Colker).
Zack is a world class heavyweight grappler and submission artist with a particular expertise in both Gi and No-Gi fighting in all forms. He is an active competitor and veteran of over 40 martial arts competitions achieving championships in the IBJJF, NAGA, PRIDE, FUJI, CTBJJF, and GAMON organizations including state championships in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Nevada State. Zack won Bronze in both Gi and No-Gi at the U.S. Nationals, and, ranked as high as #14 in the world, won Bronze at the World Championship. He continues to compete at the highest level in popular forms of competitive grappling including both Gi fighting and No-Gi fighting.
Zack holds the 1sr Dan in Traditional Kodokan Judo under USA-TKJ.
