USA Ju-Jitsuka Win Gold & More at World Championships..!!
World Council of Jujitsu Organizations - 2015 World Championships Geneva Switzerland..
USA Takes Silver in Team Competition. With only 3 of 5 team players the USA comes close to a gold medal. An injury in the final match caused us to lose that match 5 to 2 (2 matches were forfeits as we only had 3 players). Coming into each match 0-2 required a strong effort from USA Team members to get the Silver.
Congratulations to the Athletes - Jacob Bunker, Leonard Settles, Matt Street, Phil Recanati, Andrew Newman, Stephanie Messmore, Joshua Hillman, Justin Jones and Team Coach - Michael Antonides..!

"I know you all have been waiting for our update on the 2015 WCJJO Sport Jiu Jitsu and Grappling World Championships! Please respond with thoughts and questions. I am Proud to announce the USA brought home 7 Gold, 4 Silver, 7 Bronze and received the Silver/ pending for gold for the Team event of country vs country! This is the first time the USA has meddled in full contact fighting and grappling since the mid 80's!!! I am not usually good at this stuff but here it goes. Some of you I call friend, some follow me on social media, some are sponsors or people I have met networking or in my other business ventures. Today I would like to express how much this means to me. The people and path that has led me to even come out of retirement and back into the game was a journey in itself! To be able to represent our country on the world level is an incredible thing I will never forget. I have definitely become even closer than ever before with my students/ Team Mates and most of all FRIENDS - Albert Pecoraro, Andrew Newman, Stephanie Messmore and Justin Jones! To be able to fight for three days straight and have the opportunity to make new friends and memories with so many people from so many different countries was extraordinary. I hope you all have good memories and experiences as well Jacob V Bunker, Matthew Street, Paul Dixon, Paul Grant, Issy McGarry,Adam Phillips, Daniel Thomas, Jessi McGarry, Luke James Schmidt, Marc Rideout, Dylan Voncina, Ryan Lang, Michael Mad-Dog McGarry, Carla Townsend, John Clayton, Michelle Holt, Justin D'Amico and there was one person that impacted my realization more than anyone. Michael Brian Cuttingand I were in the middle of our first grappling match, grip fighting for 6min straight, countering each other back and fourth for control, then when we got to another match on the second day we were striking with conbo after combo back and fourth...however what is funny is we actually got yelled at for having too much fun lol. To think two men fighting toe to toe got lost in the moment and just enjoyed martial arts for what it is. It was one of the happiest moments I have had in years! I have felt different and not quite myself for a while. But I am BACK..!!"
Again, Congratulations & Well Done to Our 2015 Team USA..!!
