Blade has been in the martial arts all of his life. His father Dave Chance started teaching him when he was able to walk. He began training at The United States Martial Arts Center under Grandmaster McClanahan and his Father in Judo and Ju Jitsu at the age of 6 in 2005.
His first competition in Judo and Ju Jitsu was at age 9 and has been competing ever since. He has competed in Local, Regional and National competitions. Having competed in the Men’s Advanced divisions at the age of 14 due to his size and ability. He has won 4 Golds, 13 Silver and 7 Bronze for these events from all over the United States.
He Earned his Shodan in 2015 at the age of 16 and began assisting in teaching alongside his father. Today Sensei Blade is a Sandan and Assistant Instructor and Coach at the United States Martial Arts Center.
