CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Chris Harris was born on January 22, 1967, in Dayton, Ohio. He is an American motivational speaker, published author, thought leader, sales performance trainer, award-winning inventor, accomplished martial artist, and US military veteran. Additionally, he works with the defense sector, providing expeditionary point-of-need solutions that improve battlefield readiness for warfighters. He also serves as an active Business Executives for National Security (BENS) member.

MARTIAL ARTS

Chris Harris started training in martial arts as a child in Dayton, Ohio, in 1978. He founded Roku Jutsu™ in 1993, an elite system of close-quarters combat he created to train private security firms, federal agencies, the military, and special forces. As a private contractor, he has provided training to over 500 government agencies and private organizations worldwide.

In 2013 Harris was inducted into the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame, receiving the Silver Master Award. In 1994 he was featured in an instructional video, Chris Harris’ Karate Basics for Kids. In addition, he has been interviewed on numerous TV and radio programs as a Self-Defense and Personal Safety Expert. Harris is a member of the American Karate Black Belt Association.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER & THOUGHT LEADER

After overcoming a tumultuous childhood and through his countless experiences teaching elite combatives worldwide, Chris Harris has witnessed firsthand the significant impact of overcoming adversity and becoming resilient by adopting the right mindset. As a sought-after motivational speaker, corporate trainer, and the author of the book I Go Thru, he uses stories from his life to encourage and challenge others. Harris inspires his audience to shatter their limits and achieve the life they want by using the tools they already possess.

SALES PERFORMANCE TRAINER

For 25 years, Chris Harris sold his brand of elite combatives training, Roku Jutsu™, to the public and private sectors domestically and internationally. In 2015 he began transitioning into advanced manufacturing technology sales, where he achieved significant success in just a few short years. This resulted in the release of his book Phase Selling for Additive Manufacturing, which outlines the process utilized to exceed his sales goals in this highly competitive field. As a result, Harris has taught his Phase Selling methodology and provided his proprietary consulting services to over 200 companies from more than 60 countries.

ABOUT ROKU JUTSU™

Roku Jutsu™ was developed by Chris Harris in 1993 to be an efficient and effective combatives system well suited for the US military and its global allies. In Japanese, Roku means “six,” and Jutsu means “method.” Harris has trained in numerous styles, extracting only the most practical and valuable techniques from each system. Each technique had to be simple to learn, practical to perform, and highly effective to be adopted. As a result, Roku Jutsu™ contains six belts of rank, with each belt containing ten techniques (60 total).

Here are the six styles of martial arts that had the most significant impact on the development of Roku Jutsu™, accompanied by their most influential attributes:

Self Discipline / Breathing / Respect / Power

Hand Speed / Footwork / Accuracy / Stealth

MUAY THAI

PERSONAL LIFE

Chris and his wife Corrie have been married since 1996 and reside in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan Area, Texas. They also lived in Central America as humanitarian workers, serving as the Directors of a 500-acre orphanage.
