Chris Harris (born January 22, 1967) is an American motivational speaker and sales performance trainer, and he provides executive consulting for the additive manufacturing industry. Additionally, Harris is a close-quarters combat expert with the rank of 6th Degree Black Belt, published author, patented inventor, and U.S. military veteran. He is the founder of Motivational Pros™ and the creator of the Phase Selling™ methodology for B2B sales.

CAREER -

Combatives

Chris Harris started training in martial arts as a child while living in Dayton, Ohio, in 1978. He is the founder of Roku Jutsu™, which is an elite system of close-quarters combat he created in 1993 for the purpose of training private security firms, federal agencies, the military, and special forces. Before retiring his black belt in 2018, Harris devoted 25 years to teaching as an independent contractor for the United States and its global allies.

In 2013 Harris was inducted into the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame, where he received the Silver Master Award. In 1994 he was featured in an instructional video, Chris Harris’ Karate Basics for Kids. He has been interviewed on numerous TV and radio programs as a Self-Defense Expert and is a member of the American Karate Black Belt Association.

Motivational Speaker

After overcoming a tumultuous childhood and through his countless experiences teaching elite combatives around the world, Chris Harris has witnessed firsthand the significant impact of expert power. As a corporate trainer and motivational speaker, he uses the stories from his life to inspire, encourage, and challenge his audience to obtain the life they want by using the tools they already possess.

Sales Professional

For 25 years Harris sold his personal brand of elite combatives training both domestically and internationally. In 2015 he began the process of transitioning out of close-quarters combat training and into additive manufacturing technology sales, where he achieved a high level of success in just a few short years. This fast track to success resulted in the release of his book Phase Selling for Additive Manufacturing, which outlines the sales methodology Harris created and utilized to achieve his sales goals so quickly.

ABOUT ROKU JUTSU

Roku Jutsu™ was developed by Chris Harris in 1993 to be an efficient combatives system that was well suited for the military and special forces. In Japanese, the word Roku means “six” and the word Jutsu means “method.” Harris has trained in numerous styles, extracting only the most practical and useful techniques from each system. To be adopted, each technique had to be practical in its use, simple to perform, and highly effective. Roku Jutsu contains six belts of rank, with each belt containing 10 techniques (60 total).

Below are the six styles (methods) that had the greatest impact on Roku Jutsu, accompanied by the top four movements and principles that were adopted from each.

SHORIN RYU: Self-discipline / Breathing / Respect / Power
AIKIDO: Joint Manipulation / Harmony / Energy / Flow
BOXING: Hand Speed / Footwork / Accuracy / Stealth
MUAY THAI: Toughness / Forearms / Elbows / Knees
TAE KWON DO: Distance / Blocks / Kicks / Hips
KUNG FU: Balance / Fluidity / Speed / Grace
