Clayton Kesinger
Life Member - United States Ju-Jitsu Federation (USJJF) ®
Life Member - USA Traditional Kodokan Judo (USA-TKJ) ®
Sensei Kesinger began his martial arts training in 1981 in Judo under Sensei John Vincent until I returned to my home state of Texas in 1983. Sensei Vincent was trained by Philip Porter and I was taught in that same method reaching the class of 3rd Kyu.
When he arrived back in his home town there were no Judo schools so he began training in Taekwondo. The training took place at a fitness center and he received the rank of 4th gup blue belt before the class was canceled and replaced with Aikido, in which I trained in for a very short time. Another school opened in his town which taught Mushin Budo, a combination of Judo, Aikido and Kenpo.
He studied under Sensei Rodney Roberts and achieved 4th Kyu before he was forced to close down as well. Sensei Roberts was 3rd Dan with USJA but his school was IFOJJ. His next Sensei was William Levee, a 4th Dan in Danzan Ryu Jujitsu and founder of his style of Combat Judo. His school was also chartered through IFOJJ. He trained under Sensei Levee until he was transferred to another part of the country for his job.
In 2007, Sensei Kesinger opened his own school with some technical support from Sensei Levee until his work interfered.
In 2016, he then returned to Judo and Jujitsu after a long absence.
Professionally, his major in college was Electromechanical Technology and I worked in manufacturing for many years before going to sea. For the past 15 years, he has served in several positions upon vessels and have worked in the Government Fleet and special projects for the past 5 years.
He is licensed by the USCG as Chief Engineer as well as Electro-Technical Officer.
