Ivan Schweitzer has over 35 Years Experience in the Martial Arts.
Ivan Scweitzer has attended and participated in many Martial Arts seminars over the years. Currently his focus is to sharpen his knowledge of Martial Arts and teach students the benefits of the arts.
In 1989, Sensei Ivan Schweitzer began his martial arts training at Tiger Cho’s Taekwondo institute, Moore OK. Studied Korean karate Taekwondo and also a little of Hapkido . During this time, he taught a kids class and a Friday night self-defense class. Attained a Black Belt under Master Cho in 1993.
In 1993, he trained in Aikido at Wind Song Dojo, Oklahoma City. He explored this Japanese art and felt that Jujitsu would be a better fit. Received his orange belt from Sensei Chuck Caldwell in 1994 and went on to Jujitsu.
In 1994 to 1996, he trained in Kodokan Judo/Goshi-Jujitsu with Master Bill Sharp (7th dan Judo/Jujitsu with USJJF) at Bill Sharps Jujitsu, Oklahoma city.
In 1996, he also studied in the art of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu with Rafael Lovato at Lovato Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Bethany ok.
In 1996 to 1997, he trained with a group of police officers at Defender institute, Oklahoma city OK. Focus on Police ground fighting and Aibujutsu-ryu. Left due to school closing. Under officer Chuck Lucas (4th dan in jujitsu) received blue belt.
In 2008 to 2011, he trained Karate at the Weight Room, Oklahoma City. It was a mixture of Taekwondo and American Karate. Under Sensei David Sauble and Sensei Monte Derricksen.
In 2018 to present, Sensei Schweitzer continues his Jujitsu training with Doctor Randall Schubert (5th Dan Jujitsu & Shotokan Karate) at ARMA (for Assault Response Methods and Arms) Defense and Jujitsu, Bethany OK. I intend to continue my martial arts training with Master Schubert.
He is currently an instructor at ARMA Defense and Jujitsu and a proud member of USJJF and USMAF.
