Martial Arts Experience -
Began training in in karate while in the Navy in 1974 in Shotokan karate. In 1985 I began training in Issyhin Ryu Karate in Buffalo NY, 1986 Shorin Ryu Karate, 1990 Shotokan Karate, 1994 Issyhin Ryu Karate and began Training in the Kwanmukan in 1996.
Teaching Experience -
Began teaching Karate at the Orrville/Dalton YMCA in 2003, holding classes for children and adults .
Began teaching Jujitsu at the Orrville/Dalton YMCA in 2005 and the Ashland, Ohio YMCA in 2012. Moved Karate and Jujitsu classes to the Smithville Community Center and formed the Smithville Kwanmukan 2016
He has taught several seminars on Self Defense and Taiho Jitsu as well as Karate and Jujitsu.
Coaching -
2011 - He was the assistant coach to the USJJF USA Team to the JJIF World Championship in Vienna Austria
2012 - USA Executive Director for the World Council of Jujitsu Organizations” World Championships in Andover England.
2015 - World Championship in Geneva Switzerland
2017 - WCJJO World Championship in Australia
2019 - WCJJO World Championship in Orlando, Florida USA
